The show features 32 of Queen’s greatest hits, took six years to develop and cost £7.5million pounds.An average of 600,000 WE WILL ROCK YOU tickets are sold every year.So far there have been over 2,200 performances in the UK and 2,200 standing ovations!It is estimated the show has now been seen across the world by an audience of more than 6 million people.As an indication of the wide audience the show attracts, the purchaser of the 1 millionth ticket in London on October 2006 was a 61-year-old grandmother who was buying a ticket to treat her 4-year-old great grandson to see the show.In August 2005 the show officially became the longest running musical to play at The Dominion, one of the West End’s biggest theatres.WE WILL ROCK YOU involves more than £1million worth of LED screens, especially shipped from Hong Kong to feature in the production’s unique set.WE WILL ROCK YOU’s production and set design is the most expensive and dynamic set ever seen in London theatre.The set designers were also behind some of the biggest of the world’s greatestive acts including Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and U2.
